Echocardiography
Premier Diagnostic Services has consciously invested in new state-of-the-art technology for our Cardiac Clinical Imaging. We utilize carts which
have the capability to bring digital echocardiography to any office. Exams can be stored digitally as a series of thumbnail cine loops. Each
day of examinations can then be stored on a single CD-R which can be left on-site for permanent reference. Each CD-R contains a Patient List for
easy access to any study.
Additional controls for next/prior loop, stop, and frame-by-frame are also included. Ability to display all images in the MPEG format means they
can be viewed on nearly any common PC. This allows interpreting physicians to read at the office, at home, or even mobile on a laptop. In
cases where sites are already utilizing a DICOM PACS system, we can send studies directly from our carts to the PACS via a secure connection, or
supply studies on CD-R in DICOM format which can be easily imported into the PACS system.
All this enables the read times for the interpreting physicians
to be reduced while maintaining or even enhancing the technical
quality of the exams. If needed, capabilities to assess diastolic
LV dysfunction utilizing Tissue Doppler Imaging technology are
available. As is the ability to quantify LV volume. These tools
are especially helpful in patients with reduced the systolic
function, hypertension, and Left Bundle Branch Block. Additionally,
all echocardiograms at Premier are performed by experienced
and dedicated sonographers who carry the RDCS credentials.
